Community Guidelines

Last updated: 12 April 2026

Vora Technologies Limited ("Vora", "we", "us", "our") is building a platform where professionals and creators connect authentically. These Community Guidelines set the standard for behaviour across all of Vora — including communities, messaging, posts, events, and all user interactions. These guidelines form part of our Terms of Service. Personal data is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.

By using Vora, you agree to follow these guidelines. Violations may result in content removal, account restrictions, or permanent suspension.

1. Age Requirement

Vora is for users aged 18 and over. If we become aware that someone under 18 is using the platform, their account will be terminated and their data deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

2. Respect and Safety

Be Respectful

  • Treat all users with dignity and respect.
  • Engage in constructive conversations, even when you disagree.
  • Respect different perspectives, cultures, backgrounds, and identities.

No Harassment or Bullying

  • Do not target, intimidate, or harass other users.
  • Do not engage in coordinated attacks against individuals or groups.
  • Do not use the platform to stalk, threaten, or dox others.

No Hate Speech or Discrimination

  • Do not promote hatred based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic.
  • Do not use slurs, dehumanising language, or symbols associated with hate groups.

3. Content Standards

No Illegal Content

  • Do not share, promote, or facilitate any illegal activity.
  • Do not share content that violates intellectual property rights.
  • Comply with all applicable UK laws, including the Online Safety Act 2023.

No Explicit or NSFW Content

  • Vora is a professional networking and community platform. Sexually explicit content is not permitted.
  • Nudity is not permitted except in clearly artistic, educational, or health-related contexts.

No Violence or Graphic Content

  • Do not share graphic violence, gore, or content glorifying violence.
  • Do not make threats of violence, even in jest.

No Misinformation

  • Do not deliberately spread false or misleading information.
  • Do not impersonate other individuals, organisations, or public figures.

4. Spam and Manipulation

No Spam

  • Do not send unsolicited bulk messages or repetitive content.
  • Do not use automated tools to create accounts, post content, or send messages.
  • Do not post irrelevant or promotional content in communities without permission from community administrators.

No Platform Manipulation

  • Do not create multiple accounts to circumvent bans or restrictions.
  • Do not artificially inflate engagement metrics (likes, views, connections).
  • Do not use bots or scripts to interact with the platform in ways that violate these guidelines.

5. Privacy and Safety

Respect Privacy

  • Do not share others' personal information without their consent.
  • Do not screenshot or share private messages publicly without consent.
  • Respect the privacy settings and preferences of other users.

Safe Space Mode

  • Communities and spaces that enable Safe Space Mode have additional protections. Respect the rules set by community administrators.

Report Concerns

  • Use the in-app reporting tools to flag content or behaviour that violates these guidelines.
  • Do not abuse the reporting system by making false or malicious reports.

6. Community Management

Community Administrators

  • Community administrators are responsible for enforcing these guidelines within their communities.
  • Administrators may set additional rules for their communities, provided they don't conflict with these platform-wide guidelines.
  • Administrators must not abuse their position to harass, discriminate against, or unfairly target members.

Paid Communities

  • Communities that charge membership fees must deliver on the value they promise.
  • Misleading descriptions of paid community benefits may result in community removal.

7. AI Features (UVA)

  • Do not attempt to manipulate or exploit AI features for harmful purposes.
  • Do not use AI-generated content to impersonate real people or spread misinformation.
  • Remember that AI responses are generated by machine learning models and may not always be accurate.

8. Events

  • Event hosts are responsible for the accuracy of event information.
  • Do not create events for fraudulent purposes or to mislead attendees.
  • Cancelled events should be communicated to attendees promptly.

9. Enforcement

Violations of these guidelines may result in:

  1. Warning — A notification explaining the violation and expected behaviour change.
  2. Content Removal — Removal of specific content that violates guidelines.
  3. Temporary Restriction — Temporary suspension of certain account features.
  4. Account Suspension — Temporary suspension of the entire account.
  5. Permanent Ban — Permanent removal from Vora.

The severity of the response depends on the nature and frequency of violations. Serious violations (such as illegal activity, threats of violence, or child exploitation material) will result in immediate permanent ban and reporting to relevant authorities.

Appeals

If you believe enforcement action was taken in error, you can appeal by contacting support@itsvorahq.com within 30 days of the action. Include your username and a description of why you believe the action was incorrect.

10. Reporting

To report a violation:

  • In-app: Use the report button on any post, message, profile, or community.
  • Email: support@itsvorahq.com

Service Level

We commit to reviewing every report and taking action — including, where appropriate, removing the offending content and ejecting the user who provided it — within 24 hours of receipt. Reports involving imminent risk to a person's safety or child sexual abuse material are escalated immediately on receipt and routed to the relevant authorities.

This 24-hour service level mirrors Apple App Store Review Guideline 1.2 and the UK Online Safety Act 2023's "swift action" expectation. Our internal queue tracks every report against this clock and escalates any item that crosses it.

11. UK Online Safety Act 2023

Vora is designed to align with the UK Online Safety Act 2023. We maintain systems and processes to:

  • Identify and remove illegal content promptly
  • Assess and mitigate risks to user safety
  • Provide information about our content moderation practices as required
  • Cooperate with Ofcom as the designated regulator

12. Changes to These Guidelines

We may update these Community Guidelines from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the platform at least 30 days before they take effect.
